During my academic life as a Senior professor and ex-Director of the laboratory research “NuMe”. I was able to accomplish a great deal of research projects forward the advancement of gender studies, new media and social robotics.

Leopoldina Fortunati, Senior Professor, teaches Social Robotics at the University of Udine where she is member of the Research Laboratory on New Media “NuMe” (nume.uniud.it). She is also member of the Academia Europaea. She has conducted several research in the field of gender studies, cultural processes and communication and information technologies. She has published more than 200 works and serves as referee for many outstanding journals. She is an associate editor of the journal The Information Society and along with Rich Ling and Gerard Goggin was an editor of the OUP series “Studies in Mobile Communication”. Her works have been published in twelve languages.
